We are delighted to announce that the Town of Hamilton has passed a resolution officially endorsing commissioning a study to use the W&OD corridor for rapid transit. They are the first municipality to endorse the project.

We here at NOVA-TRAC have worked diligently to push this plan forward. Last month, we presented the proposal to the Town Council, and today our efforts have paid off. We are glad that the Town Council recognizes the need for improved transportation in our region as traffic, car-dependency and inaccessibility plague the region.

With Hamilton’s support, we plan to continue to build a consensus among local municipalities to seek to get a feasibility study commissioned by Loudoun and Fairfax counties together with with state and regional agencies. We are certain that this study will show the effectiveness, affordability and necessity of building the line.

We would like to officially thank the Hamilton Town Council and the Mayor for their support in this endeavor.
